10th Energy Efficiency Forum and Exhibition (EVF 2019)

The 10th Energy Efficiency Forum and Exhibition (EVF 2019) was held on April 11–12, 2019 at the Istanbul Lutfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center, under the auspices of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Organized under the theme “Energy Efficiency as a Resource”, the event was inaugurated by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr. Fatih Dönmez, alongside Malta’s Minister for Energy and Water Management Hon. Joseph Mizzi and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Minister of Economy and Energy Mr. Özdil Nami.

The forum and exhibition welcomed broad international participation, with visitors from Malta, Denmark, TRNC, Russia, Italy, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Togo, Sudan, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia.

The forum featured 18 sessions across three halls, accompanied by three side events. A total of 106 speakers took part—14 international and 92 national experts. Key topics included global trends in energy efficiency, sectoral strategies in agriculture, transport, buildings, and industry, energy performance contracts (EPCs), and the heat market. Best practice examples were presented, and current sectoral challenges and proposed solutions were discussed.

For the first time, an award ceremony was held for the Efficiency Enhancing Projects (VAP), with a dedicated session providing a platform for selected project presentations.

The forum and exhibition hosted a total of 4,920 visitors, with participation from 18 sponsors and 53 exhibiting companies.
